Substance Abuse Behavioral Health

 SDUIH believes subastance abuse and dependence are treatable and have staff members to assist in your receovery and management of your substance abuse issues.  We take a multi-disciplinary approach to care, meaning your care team will communicate and consult with each other to provide you with the best care possible.  SDUIH care team members may include a Counselor, Medical Provider, Care Manager, Dietician, Activities Coordinator, and consulting staff that includes a Psychologist and Psychiatrist.  Care team members outside SDUIH may also be included with patient consent. 

Substance Abuse services are provided by certified addiction counselors and include Treatment Needs Assessent (TNA), individual, couple, family, and group counseling (Group Descriptions and Schedule).  Fees for services are income based (Fee Scale).  Some funding is available for substance abuse co-occurring disorders (Funding Sources).  Medicaid for pregnant women and youth under the age of 18 are accepted.  Ask your insurance company if chemical dependency services are coverd.
