Lab Services

South Dakota Urban Indian Health lab services maintains a high quality of testing under a certificate of waiver called CLIA (clinical laboratory improvement amendments) for the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid services. CLIA certifies the laboratory to perform only examinations or procedures that have been approved as waived by the Department of Health and Human Services.

These services are provided but not limited to:
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
  • Mononucleosis Testing
  • Hemoglobin A1C
  • Streptococcal Testing
  • Urinalysis
  • Influenza Testing
  • Hemoglobin
  • Hemoccult Stool Testing
  • Urine Pregnancy
  • HIV Testing
  • Lead Level
  • Protime/INR
  • Glucose
  • Urine Microalbumin
  • Lipid Panel
Lab samples are also sent out to a contracted hospital laboratory as needed for further testing and evaluation.
