MISSION STATEMENT:
The goal of South Dakota Urban Indian Health, Inc., is to provide quality health care for Native American people and the economically disadvantaged or medically underserved in the urban areas of South Dakota. SDUIH promotes a balance between physical, spiritual, behavioral, and mental health for the entire family. Wellness, prevention, and medical care are provided which are essential for a healthy community.
The AIM of SDUIH is to develop a comprehensive patient-centered healthcare system that provides exceptional healthcare services that are:
- Accessible, Reliable, Efficient, and Cost Effective
- Coordinated and Integrated (medical and behavioral health care)
- Promoting patient self-management
- A Positive Influence on patient’s health factors
- Creating a Proactive, Empowered and Solution focused work force.
SDUIH operates three full-time primary health care clinics in the state of South Dakota located in: Pierre, Aberdeen and Sioux Falls. Please join us on a tour of our facilities and programs and meet the staff.
